Aji Habanero Hot Chile Pepper

70-85 days. While the word Habanero might be a little scary to some, don't be fooled in this case. This diminutive little Pepper is of a completely different species (Capsicum baccatum) than standard Habaneros (Capsicum chinense) and favors smoky, fruity flavor over heat at only 5,000 to 10,000 Scoville heat units. The 2½”-long and ¾”-wide Chiles mature from green to pale yellow to pale orange on 2'- to 3'-tall plants. (OP.)
