Perennial Maximilian Sunflower

Helianthus maximiliani. This deer-resistant perennial powerhouse is smothered in 2”-3” golden flowers with mustard yellow centers from late summer until frost. Native to the North American prairies, it thrives in blazing sun, is drought tolerant and attracts birds, butterflies and other pollinators in droves. It makes a spectacular cut flower, and will return year after year, often spreading to form a large colony. Perennial. (Hardy to HZ 4) Summer to fall flowering. Height: 7’ to 10’.
