  • Information
  • Lobelia erinus. Known as an edging or cascading Lobelia, this long-flowering annual may planted 6" apart in abundant path side borders and just 3" apart in cascading hanging baskets and lush window boxes. Shade-tolerant, it yields plump 8" trails of little, 5-petaled, 1/2" flowers with contrasting eyes and thin, somewhat sparse, foliage. Keep away from children and frisky, teething pets because it is somewhat toxic if ingested. It should be raised as transplants 10 to 12 weeks before the last spring frost date in full to part sun. Average seed life: 2 years.
