Kirigami Ornamental Oregano

Origanum X hybrida. You won't grow this fragrant perennial Oregano for its flavor. Rather, you'll grow it for its long-lasting, tumbling, Hops-like sage green, chartreuse and pink bracts that hide tiny, pale purple flowers. The plant forms a dense, cascading mound just 10" tall and up to 16" wide that's wonderful in pots and window boxes. The bracts are wonderful in dried arrangements. Kirigami loves sun and well-drained soil, and is deer- and drought-resistant. Start seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks prior to transplanting out after the last frost date. Perennial. Summer flowering. (F1.)
