Robust 997 Popcorn

110 days. If you've never tried homegrown Popcorn, you're in for a fun treat! Grow this Popcorn as you would Sweet Corn, but at the end of the season, allow the ears to dry completely on the stalk. After harvesting, peel back the husks and hang the ears in a warm, dry, well-ventilated space for a few weeks until the deep yellow kernels are truly dry and pop readily in hot oil. At this point, remove the kernels from the cobs and store them in an airtight container. This disease-resistant variety grows up to 9' tall, making it a fun addition to a children's garden. (F1.)
