Coreopsis grandiflora, Tickseed. An easy to grow perennial, Early Sunrise produces little, semi-double, golden-yellow, daisy-like flowers amidst feathery foliage. Hardy in USDA zones 4 to9, its uniform compact plants will grow up to 24” tall and spread up to 26” across. Thriving even in poor soil with ever increasing, flowering mounds, Coreopsis should be kept moderately moist and dead-headed to prolong its flowering period throughout the summer. It may even flower well the first year if started early enough, eight weeks before transplanting out into the garden. Perennial. Summer flowering. Height: 24”.
